MEET THE TEAM: JOE MEDINA, PROJECT EXECUTIVE - ORLANDO, FL

Oct 1st 2024

At Ceco, expanding our footprint into new markets is a key growth initiative. With the addition of Joe Medina, Ceco has opened a new satellite operation in Orlando, FL, to help expand our presence into western Florida.

Joe is from Miami, FL, and has been working in the concrete construction industry for over 20 years. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Florida. In 2019, Joe joined the Ceco team as a Frame Project Manager, where he spent 3 and a half years in that role. Joe is now back at Ceco to run the new Orlando operation, where he hopes to continue Ceco’s expansion efforts into western Florida. Read more about the work he does below:

What is the objective of your new position?
My new role at Ceco is to lead the expansion effort into the Orlando and Space Coast markets by developing a comprehensive strategic plan that outlines the company's long-term goals, competitive positioning, and growth strategies.

What vision do you bring to this role?
To continue building on the Ceco legacy of being an innovative leader in the concrete construction industry by positioning Ceco in the Orlando market as the go-to concrete subcontractor when safety, performance, quality, time, and cost are of the utmost importance.

What personal expertise do you bring to your job?
I've worked in several roles throughout my 20+ years in concrete from operating the concrete plants at Rinker, building the structures in the field, to leading the project management teams overseeing the projects. I have had the opportunity to learn and grow from some of the best in the industry, allowing me to bring that expertise to Ceco and to help mentor the future leaders of our industry.

What benefits do our customers have in working with Ceco?
When working with Ceco, our customers benefit from a collaborative environment where their success is just as important as our success. Our teams are in constant communication with their teams, both on and off-site, to ensure safety, quality, and production are all being delivered as expected.

What hobbies do you enjoy?
I enjoy family time, a good cigar, and riding motorcycles. I am a horrible golf player! I am also an active participant in the Habit for Humanity and Wounded Warrior organizations assisting to build homes for disadvantaged families and our brave veterans.
