MEET THE TEAM: MIKE ADKINS, GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT

Ceco’s success is dependent on the continued development and training of our people. The hands-on management styles of seasoned personnel like Mike Adkins, PE, are important contributors to the skills-based learning and safe actions of newer employees. What’s more, Mike’s quiet leadership and commitment to mentoring and coaching crew members have led to sustained growth of our Cincinnati office. The Ohio region is currently expanding offerings to include full concrete frame services.
During his more than 17-year career with Ceco, Mike has been involved in several iconic projects in Ohio, including the Columbus Airport CONRAC Garage, Hollywood Casino Parking Garage and the Dunnhumby Parking and Office Tower. Now taking over the role of General Superintendent, he will oversee all field operations managed by the Cincinnati District, which encompasses Ohio as well as northern Kentucky, Michigan, southern Indiana and West Virginia. What is the objective of your new position?
I am committed to improving our overall safety performance with a renewed focus on training.
What vision do you bring to this role?
Steady growth through mentorship and training. By working closely with our job superintendents, project managers and safety personnel, I will lead the Cincinnati District in executing full concrete frame scopes of work.
What personal expertise do you bring to your job?
My nearly two decades of experience working for Ceco has given me the ability to look ahead on any project and foresee the needs and constraints of coming tasks—so we can plan accordingly and maximize crew productivity and safety.
