A recent Ceco innovation comes from our Minneapolis office. Layout Specialist Jake Bower saw an opportunity to do away with one-and-done column forms used to create small, circular slab blockouts for trash shoots in our high-rise residential projects. Because the column forms are not reusable, they are thrown away after every level is complete. They are like nickels—one may not cost too much, but when added up, you soon have dollars.

Jake came up with a simple design that makes a quick, reusable form that can be used on each level (see graphic). The savings from his creation will add up!
