MEET THE TEAM: JOE MEDINA, FRAME PROJECT MANAGER
Jun 30th 2021
At Ceco Concrete, many of our employees come to us with a wide variety of industry experience and continue to build on their knowledge and skills as they grow within our company.
Joe Medina began his career working for a concrete producer. Upon graduating from the University of Florida with a BS in industrial and systems engineering, he joined Rinker Material’s Concrete Ready Mix Division and managed several high-production concrete plants in the Miami market.
After Rinker, Joe spent several years building concrete structures in South Florida, during which he successfully completed a number of complex projects and high-rise buildings.
In January 2020, Joe moved to Orlando and joined the Central Florida Ceco team. He served as Project Manager on the Alta at Health Village apartments project, helping to deliver the project on schedule and under budget. As a result, the project team received three out of four awards through Ceco Florida’s 2020 Project Awards program in the following categories: Production, Safety and Overall. Their achievements also won a new customer for Ceco. The developer and general contractor was pleased with the team’s work.
Recently, Joe was promoted to Frame Project Manager, and he is currently working on the fast-paced Orlando Health hospital project, an eight-level cast-in-place concrete structure in downtown Orlando. He says his wife and college sweetheart, Ruth, and their children, Josh and Lily, are what motivate him in his life. Learn more about Joe and his new role:
