CECO WINS QUALITY CONCRETE AWARD FOR BALLPARK VILLAGE
Dec 17th 2021
The Concrete Council of St. Louis and ACI Missouri Chapter recently presented Ceco Concrete with a Quality Concrete Award for demonstrating outstanding concrete work at the Ballpark Village Phase II – Block 400 project, also known as One Cardinal Way. The project was developed by Cordish Companies in partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals.
With venues providing direct views into Busch Stadium, Ballpark Village is a mixed-use retail, entertainment, office and residential district that brings the excitement of game day outside the stadium’s walls. Phase 2 of the development included a 30-story residential tower complete with baseball-themed finishes.
Ceco provided the full concrete frame for the tower, which included two-way post-tensioned flat slabs for parking and residential floors, large transfer girders at Level 8 and a grade beam foundation supported by auger-cast piles.
“The use of Ceco’s high-density formwork and concrete additives produced high-quality concrete finishes suitable for an urban living setting,” says Charlie Lee, director of construction with Cordish Companies. “The quality of Ceco’s concrete structure is exceptional.”
