This downtown Miami project includes two structures: a 43-story tower with 434 luxury units (maximum 12 per floor with floor plans ranging from 566 to 1,808 square feet), and a 13-story concrete parking garage providing 922 spaces and two levels of retail space.
The project broke ground February 2019. Ceco provided the concrete frame for each structure, which included formwork, reinforcing steel supply and installation, concrete supply and installation, including hoisting and excavation for the foundations. The formwork included use of Ceco’s aluminum gang forms, HV system and steel beam forms. The tower foundation was completed in August 2019 and the parking garage foundation was completed October 2019.
At the tower, Ceco completed two pours per floor with a placing boom and mast. To provide maximum protection from falls and falling material below, the crew used Ceco’s proprietary perimeter screen system. The cores were formed with aluminum gang forms and the decks with the HV system. Steel beam forms were used for the long-span post-tensioned concrete garage, which includes 35-foot-tall columns.
